Raspberry Pi 4 Model B No display

I’ve been trying to install Raspbian on my Raspberry Pi 4 Model B and it won’t display anything on the tv. I’ve reinstalling Raspbian multiple times, using different micro SD cards, changing different settings on the config file and using different wall sockets but no luck. I’m using Raspbian Buster 2019-09-26 and I’m powering the raspberry pi with the official Pi 4 power supply. I’m also using a 4k micro HDMI to HDMI cable. Some help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi I had similar issues, drove me mad. The hdmi cable turned out to be faulty.

Hi RileyB,

Have you tried using a different micro HDMI to HDMI cable?

Does it work on a different display monitor?

Cheers,
Cherie

I had a similar problem with Raspberry Pi 4 Model B. Turns out my TV (Changhong) appears to report a unsupported video resolution to the Pi when it first boots. the Pi tries to run at this resolution resulting in a blank screen.

My solution was to plug the Pi into my Samsung TV (this worked) , then set to resolution to 1280 x 760. plugged the Pi back into the (Changhong), and it worked at that resolution.

this may help
cheers
Brian

Tried a different display cable and now it’s working fine

Interesting, thanks for letting us know BrianM.

That’s good to hear, RileyB!
