I am looking at using a Raspberry Pi to set up communication between an inverter and a solar battery that has its own battery monitoring system using modbus rtu, both company’s provide the ModBus protocols.
To start with I would like the inverter to be able to integrate the solar battery for information such as state of charge, voltages, current etc. Once we have this established we can then look at having the data available on a server via Wi-Fi, with possible future development.
